About Me

This site currently delivers ideas and information regarding my ever-changing current interests. It may vary throughout the year depending on what’s new. You may notice that this blog may encompass a broad range of subjects, but that is not necessarily the case. Most of the information in this site tend to centralize towards the mathematics and sciences. To understand the information I am presenting in those topics, one should be competent in math or science up to senior undergraduate level. Science is a very vast field, so I should be more specific. One should have mathematics and physics level background up to senior year undergraduate, or first year graduate studies.

Other than those types of articles, I will be talking about my close interests as well. Not everything in this world revolves around academia so off-topic articles will pop up from time to time. If you want to get straight to the news you want, you can use the handy-dandy navigation located on the left side of this site.

To cut things short about the writer of these articles, my name is Bryan Pakingan. I am originally from Southern California, residing in the Los Angeles County region. I am currently a University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) student pursuing a B.A. in Appied Mathematics with a concentration on Quantum Theory. I’m thinking towards a minor in Physics or a B.A. in Physics depending on how 2008 turns out. I am taken by a wonderful woman Jennifer and have many hobbies outside of the math and sciences. I currently reside in Northern California continuing my studies.

This is a photo of my girlfriend and I after my graduation dinner at Allioto’s, satisfying the “must have expensive dinner for mediocre food” requirement. The cafe underneath was so much better for a fraction of the price!

  3. Greetings Bryan

I came across your profile on LinkedIn and was impressed with your QA engineering background at EA – specifically if you have QA experience working with Javascript/Python/Django.

My Palo Alto company uShow is building a breakthrough video sharing platform.

We’re startup veterans and are recruiting a top QA engineer to the team right now in order to meet our Q1′09 market launch.

We’re looking for P/T (10-20 hrs / wk) with opportunity to join founding engineering team. Fair cash / ground-floor equity comp — product is near launch-ready and we’re looking for the best and brightest that can work with us to launch the perfect App.

Does this sound like something that might be a fit for your expertise/interest? If you’re not interested but know people who might be – we will highly value and consider persons referred by you.

Thanks for your interest, help, time Bryan.

    Rgds.

    - Joe
