History

For the most part, I’ve been really into photography since the beginning of high-school. This was back at the dawn of the millenium, since 2000. My dad passed down to me his Nikon N90s with 50mm f/1.8Ds. For no one familiar with this camera, this was one of Nikon’s old top-of-the-line film SLRs (single-lens-reflex). My buddy Richard Din who attended college with me also owned this camera. We used to roam around a lot during the weekends taking countless pictures of the most random things.

Digital Era

Eventually I made my transition to the digital world. You could take way more pictures than you can with film in a much more economical way. You could process the photos yourself, and most importantly, keep only the ones you liked best.

Equipment

I started off my DSLR (digital single-lens-reflex) days with the Nikon D100. Since then I have owned and gained competence using the following DSLR bodies:

  1. Nikon D100
  2. Nikon D70
  3. Nikon D1X
  4. Nikon D70s
  5. Canon 30D
  6. Canon 1D Classic
  7. Canon 10D

I made the transition from Nikon to Canon when the Canon 30D was released. I was doing a lot of low-light photography and at the time (which I believe was 2005-2006), Nikon had not released any DSLR bodies that could sufficiently filter out noise at high ISOs compared to Canon’s DSLR bodies. This is why I switched to Canon. After using their 1-series bodies, I was hooked and stuck with the company.

I’ve gained competence and owned the following lenses as well:

  1. Nikon AF-S Nikkor 12-24mm f/4G
  2. Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 ED G II
  3. Nikon AF Nikkor 20-35mm f/2.8D
  4. Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70mm f/2.8D
  5. Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm VR I
  6. Nikon AF-S Nikor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G
  7. Nikon AF Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D
  8. Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D
  9. Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm f/2.8D
  10. Nikon AF Nikkor 28mm f/2.8D
  11. Nikon AF Nikkor 135mm f/2D DC
  12. Canon EF 35mm f/2
  13. Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
  14. Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
  15. Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM
  16. Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM
  17. Canon EF 300mm f/4L IS USM
  18. Canon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

Extremely long list, but shows how passionate I was about it. At the time being I only have my Canon 1D body. It has to go into repair because the a CF card reader pin broke off inside. This requires removing the actual component from the camera, so I have to take it into an authorize service repair area.

Since 2000 I have taken many pictures. I posted my most favorite ones around the web, but I still have hundreds of un-processed digital slides. At the time of this writing, I have not created a dedicated page for my work, but I will create one in the near-by future to share.

Please respect the work that is posted. Do not steal them and try to pass them off as your own if you end up liking them.

Thanks!
